Inland-Sea / Pool / Parents arrive / Souks (pics)Hi,A busy weekend has just passed. Friday we went to the Inland Sea and got stuck pretty bad for the first time. Luckily I had a wooden board with me otherwise we would have been completely hopeless. Three Cars (Landcruiser, Pathfinder and Kia) got all stuck at the same place. First the Kia (not really a surprise) then me by trying to get out of the sand and then the Landcruiser by trying on getting Angela out.   20
All cars got stuck that the whole body was sitting on sand. The KIA we got out after about an hour with the wooden board and the jack. Lifting it and then packing sand underneath the tires. Then we were even able to drive it very carefully out. After that a Qatari came with his beast and got the Landcruiser and my car out with a rope. Then we just headed to a nearby beach and enjoyed a few more hours of beach before heading home. Once at home we went to the pool and just chilled out. 
In the evening I then picked up my parents from the airport and drove them to the Hotel. The next morning we went to the Hotel to meet up again and drove to the Pearl for a little stroll and a late lunch at the BICE Restaurant. Very good food and a good view from their terrace. Definitely a place to revisit. 
>From there we went to our house to have some wine and to introduce our dog to my parents. Martin |
