Paris in spring 2000 In late April 2000 Leif, Pablo and myself went to Paris for a weekend. The idea had appeared pretty spontaneously - Monday was a bank holiday in the UK, Pablo had just recently arrived in the UK, taking the Eurostar isn't very expensive...oh, and my friend (the ex-bassist of the fabulous Brainflakes) Johnny was living there at the time, with his girlfriend Karen (and I hope I'm spelling the name right here...). So we went down there Saturday around lunchtime and arrived in the afternoon. Johnny met us at the train station (Gare du Nord, methinks) and brought us to the hotel he had booked for us (just around the corner from his flat, very cool location, and a very cool price!)...
